for the love of Wreaths at provenance
After taking a 'fallow' year for wreath workshops last year, to invest in my craft and rekindle my irrational exuberance for the artistry of festive wreaths, I am excited to be back with my For the Love of Wreaths workshops at Provenance Orchard Barn this year.
My wreath workshops are intentionally intimate, giving you more personal attention and guidance in the design and creation of your wreath. They also offer, frankly, the cream of the winter crop in terms of a wide selection of locally grown evergreen foliage (so much more than just spruce) as well as the wispy bits, and dried bits, and twisting branches, and cones, and catkins, and berries… all the good stuff… (but no baubles or cinnamon sticks, so if that's your bag...)
I will teach you how to make wreaths that are a bit more undone, maybe with tumbling sections, maybe asymmetrical or maybe perfectly balanced, but all with a respect for the pattern and process of freshly cut evergreen branches spiralling around a circular base…
The workshops will run from 10am - 12.30pm and 2pm - 4.30pm and include all materials and festive refreshments.
For a truly festive day, why not start or finish your wreathing with a delicious Christmas lunch at Provenance Kitchen (please book directly with the restaurant).
Please note that the building does not have any heating, so please wear an extra pair of socks and thick layers!
Address: Provenance Orchard Barn, Hill Farm Rd, Whittlesford, Cambridge CB22 4AN.
